Former interior designer turned wedding & family photographer, Rachel Platt recently updated the dry bar in her home. She utilized our Sustain Floating Shelf Kits in our Khaki finish. Keep reading to learn more about this beautiful project.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? While I no longer work professionally in interior design, I’ve always loved designing and executing projects in my own home. It’s a creative outlet that still allows me to blend aesthetics, functionality, and storytelling-much like my photography work.

Where was this project completed? Naples, FL

Tell us about the project and your design intentions: This dry bar was designed to be both functional and visually impactful. I wanted it to flow seamlessly with the rest of our home while still feeling like a special moment. Thoughtful materials, clean lines, and warm tones were key in creating a space that feels intentional without being over-designed.

Why did you opt to use these shelves in your project? The color and quality were unbeatable. They instantly elevated the space and provided the perfect balance of warmth and durability while still feeling timeless.

How was the installation process? Super easy. The shelves were installed directly into the studs and the entire process took about 20 minutes.

Anything else you’d like to share? Even though this was a smaller project, it made a big impact. It’s a great example of how the right materials and well-made details can completely transform a space without a full renovation.
